wednesday have been looking at some prem youngster dont no who tho

(2)
(0)

I know one of the scouts and from what he tells me the list of players looked at is extremely long. Interestingly I have run some of the names by him which have been banded about and they have never or are no longer on the list for e.g. Freeman.

(1)
(2)

Know one of the scouts do you? how convenient. wonder how many people on here believe that.

(2)
(1)

Yes I do but he does not know which players they are trying to sign only those they have watched. It is a very long list, he has indicated who got good reports but nothing else.
Not much to lie about.

Following are to be owls :- Antonio, k. Lee, wittingham, simoen Jackson, roger Jonson, freeman, chr Burke, ranger, Wordsworth these are the ones what are most likely to be done before pre season starts! Up the owls!!

(1)
(7)

I wud be buzzing if we got whittingham and also Jackson but can I ad I've been saying for last few months freeman looks a real player uto

(2)
(2)

I would love freeman, since he's been at Stevenage he's looked real quality, good times ahead for the owls!UTO

(2)
(3)

What a load of rubbish,I think that's your wish list not Dave jones

(3)
(1)

I suspect the first 3 comments were put on by the same person. Johnson has been ruled out of contention. Freeman is just not good enough.
Not a rumour just bilge.

(2)
(0)

I'm guessing that u who said freeman isn't good enough has never played football his self cus let me tell that boy can play trust me uto

(1)

Apparently dj budget is 5 million and dj is looking to buy the following.....

Antonio - 800 k
Jordan Rhodes ( if huddersfield dont go up) - 2.8 million
Danny batth - 500 k
Nile Ranger - (loan)
Tom heaton - Unknown

From my mate who works at SWFC and is good friends with DJ

(1)
(9)

Yep so lets spend 5 million on exactly the same team we had in League 1 bar except for 1 extra striker. Get real. 5 million will be spent a lot better than that!

(5)
(0)

No way would we get Batth for 500k

(3)
(4)

My mates DJ's paperboy. Dave invited him in and showed him Wednesday's transfer budget as well as giving him a complete list of targets - not very likely is it. Huddersfield are likely to get more than £2.8 million for Rhodes and I couldn't see us paying it anyway. Transfer dealings are usually quite confidential and when someone starts with my mates knows, I smell BS.

(3)
(1)

Fulham have offered 3.5M for Jordan Rhodes, so i think he's out the question dont you.

(0)
(0)

Paperboy? haha is he? brilliant lol yeah well erm , i deliver his pizza every friday lol come on mate get real lol

I posted about tom heaton otherday hes now on the verge of signing.i expect it to be announced on monday.

(4)
(3)

Cant be announced until 1st July(OFFICIALLY)

(2)
(3)

Not true. You offically SIGN for a new team on july 1st but that does not mean you announce it then. clubs are already confirming new signings but they dont offically become there players until july 1st.

(5)

Hes a free agent he was released.

Leigh Griffiths looking to complete a move, hopefully permanent. If not season long loan. My uncle works at swfc and told me he had heard a few people talking about the deal.

(1)
(7)

Wouldnt want a guy that has only score 8 goals in the scottish premier playing for us!

(5)
(0)

I hope not he's a right bellend!

(10)
(0)

I think id rather have ranger if available?

(3)
(0)

I have a feeling that a lot of these rumours come from people's Football Manager teams. And Leigh is in mine. Not that that has any bearing at all, apart from the game - i have read and heard good things and right age.

(1)
(0)

Above is probably correct he is a Wolves player on loan at Hibs.

The owls have enterd the race to sign Joel Ward from portsmouth, He looked all set to join leeds last week but us and Blackpool both declared our interest. Its Said we have more pulling power than leeds utd due to us being able to offer more money but Blackpool may have a stronger hand than us if they get promoted to Preimiership. Transfer fee around 450,000.
Source newsnow sheffield wednesday.

(10)
(1)

Leeds Utd blog (Through The Night) also reported the above today word for word.

(4)
(0)

Ad a little chuckle to myself whn i read the real report about us being able to offer more money thn leeds i was about to put it on here but sum1 has beaten me to it

(4)

We can offer more money than leeds

Dave Jones might follow up the signing of Kieran Lee by capturing: Tom Heaton, Joel Ward, David Buchanan, Michail Antonio, Keith Treacy, Paul Taylor and Ross McCormack in time for the start of pre-season. Has he wants a full pre-season to work with the squad he his shaping for a attempt at a second successive promotion.

(6)
(3)

He might also sign totally different players, sign no one or go for a pint. Might a word that tells us nothing

(3)
(1)

The guy who keeps flogging the abve names must be their agent. Some of the above I would not want.

(5)
(0)

David Buchanan signed new contract with his current club.

18 May 2012 13:33:35
Kieran Lee has completed a medical but the news will not be officially broken by Sheffield Wednesday until July 1st (the official opening of the Transfer Window).

Joel Ward of Portsmouth is a target of Dave Jones, although contact is yet to be made between the respective clubs. Wednesday face a battle of 5/6 other clubs including Blackpool for his signature.

Tom Heaton - nothing agreed yet.

Although there is a desire from Wednesday fans for an approach for Leeds' Adam Clayton, Milan Mandaric will not finance his wage demands as they stand.

Simeon Jackson and Zak Whitbread (both out of contract at Norwich) are potential targets for Dave Jones.

Contact has been made with Reading regarding the availability of Michail Antonio. Dave Jones is interested in retaining the services of the other three loan players; Danny Batth, Keith Treacy and Nile Ranger, although any permanent deal for Batth is unlikely.

(12)
(2)

Adam clayton class player wages would be problem antonio treacy simeon jackson heaton lee loovens paul taylor would be class

(2)
(3)

Adam Clayton is vastly overated. I have not seen much desire for us to sign him. Warnock knows this league and very good record of putting together succesful sides if he is willing to move him out I would not be keen on him joining us. Do not want Leeds cast offs.

(3)
(1)

Loovens is poor if you listen to the Celtic supporters.

(4)
(0)

Leicster have signed jamie vardy. im sure they just want players that have been linked with us first

(5)
(0)

I totally agree Leicester are c**ts they are even taking interest in Antonio as well every player we are interested in then when they buy to many players they rot on the bench or reserves it's ridiculous!

(7)
(0)

Scotland is a poor league to play in

(5)
(0)

Yeah first Marshall then vardy have they got something against us ?

(5)
(1)

Correct me if I'm wrong. But it's as though Leicester have some sort of hatred for MM. Hopefully they don't get their hands on antonio as he was a huge help

(5)
(1)

It does seem pretty strange dont it . hope we get antonio before them

(3)
(1)

Adam Clayton was one of the players that Warnock wanted to build his team around along with Snodgrass and McComack. Clayton would not sign a need contract hence he was transfer listed signing either or both them players would be good moves and would bring warnock's house down oin the process ......bonus.

(2)
(1)

Nothing to do with Antonio and Marshall being very good players?? Looks like this kid from oldhams ace. Good start, bring in the new troops. Looks like we got some money to spend too. Let the good times roll and hope united come up only to struggle next season. Easy easy easy!

(1)
(0)

Forget marshall lets just laugh at him when we finish above leicester next season, and as for antonio if we really want him which we do i'm sure our king mandaric will spend the money on him as he would be a huge player for the club.

(1)
(0)

Pearson over rated as a manager tends to piggyback on others ideas and believe he has something against owls. Made it c;ear would not want owls job and clubs he has been with have always sniffed round owls targets.

lionel ainsworth in hillsborough car park
i work there and hes just come in so possible signing?

(2)
(10)

Is that the best we can do? How would you even recognise him?

(3)
(2)

Who's he?

(5)
(0)

A Shrewsbury player that has been on loan at Burton, yeah, I can obviously see why we would be looking for him to help us make a push for the Premier League.

(3)
(1)

Does the training ground employ 500+ people? The amount of people who use this as their source/in the know method is hilarious.

(3)
(0)

He was buying a season ticket (must be a fan).

(0)
(0)

Another pro player buying a season ticket? Has he retired or is it a gift, wait Shrewsbury, is that Sunday league?

(1)

Got him in my ultimate team... fast as f**k

Sheffield wednesday to offer owen a contract despite him claiming he does not want to drop out of premier league

also sheff united mcdonald to be offered a deal

(2)
(11)

We dont ant of the squad , why would we

(1)
(1)

I wouldn't mind Kevin McDonald,he fits the bill perfectly,he's young and a decent player (Uniteds best in truth).

(4)
(7)

Do not think the above even qualifies as speculation. Far fetched and silly would be my description.

(2)
(1)

Don't need to stoop to sign anyone from the sty thanks.

(1)
(1)

Wish idiots would post realistic rumours not stupid ass rumours like owen ffs, even if he would drop to championship who would pay his stupid wages just for him to sit on the physio table all season ! We need to get a 20goal a season man with pace even if its costs us a million. {Ed013's Note - Tell me about it mate, you only see half of the rubbish that comes through here!}

(1)
(0)

McDonald he's a quality player, I wouldn't mind him at hillsborough! He's piggys best player, and from what I've heard from my mates who are blunts, hes quality they say!

(0)
(0)

Lets get this straight the guy above takes advice on quality football from people who support the Blunts? Get down to the docs, modern medicine can do wonders

17 May 2012 22:25:54
Ed ... What's the latest on Glenn Loovens are there others interested or is it a done deal ? {Ed001's Note - Cardiff are showing interest, but money is tight there.}

(6)
(2)

How old is this loovens? {Ed007's Note - 28}

(0)
(2)

Glenn loovens 28 , centre half 6ft 3 Dutch international (2caps ) previously at Feyenoord Cardiff with DJ,and currently at Celtic

(4)
(1)

Would this mean no Batth or maybe the release of jones of beevers?

(3)
(0)

Beevers and Llera plus 2 others will be main stay of central defence. Rob Jones will be moved on, more emphasis on pace at this level.
Batth and Johnson, Maguire and Loovens ones under consideration. Johnson wages major problem so likely 2 of others.

(3)
(19)

Sauce?

(2)
(7)

Hp or daddy's

(12)
(1)

Lol at hp or daddys made me laugh. doubt we'll b after le fondre tho

(5)
(3)

Not this again I can stand anything but another Le Fondre saga!

(3)
(4)

Not this again !!
It will be Ben Marshall next

(5)
(2)

Ben Marshall wanted to play as playmaker in Central Midfield playing alongside Samedo. Antonio and McKay-Steven on wings.
Centre Half and Striker still being sourced.

Just waited for the question, so could provide detail.

(0)
(6)

WHO CARES ABOUT BEN MARSHELL ... he choose the money over us end of dont want him back , dont need him back ... END OF

(9)
(2)

Well said

(5)
(1)

No way you would get Le fondra or Marshall

(5)
(1)

Why carnt we get le fondre like

(1)
(2)

The ALF and marshall talk is starting to wear me down, they are not coming end of leave the situation, and let's focus in bringing in other players, who are hopefully gonna help us win promotion!

Wednesday are on the verge of signing Tom Heaton and Kieran Lee after the release of the player retention list. Dave Jones is also targeting offers for Glenn Loovens, Chris Burke, Michail Antonio and Paul Taylor.

(8)
(0)

I'd be surprised if we get Chris Burke, I'd have thought Brum will definitely want to keep hold of him. But the others all sound fair game.

(1)
(0)

Brum carnt keep hold of him there very close adminastration so theyll soon have to accept offers to pay tax bills like we did with lee grant

millwall chasing semedo reda going to bristol city (homesick ) as he has family down there cog going to rotherham what this space roger johnson coming in on a seasons loan and we are looking at taylor from crewe

(1)
(20)

Not true.

(8)
(1)

Semedo won't go even if it was true, he loves the club

(13)
(1)

Yeah yeah what a load of crock, you blunts just stick to your own rumours page thanks

(6)
(1)

Semedo isn't going anywhere, I doubt reda will wanna move away from the club after the MASSIVE support he has here and Johnson definitely won't be coming here cos wolves won't allow a loan move to a rival side in the league. Cog probably will be going tho IMO

(7)
(1)

There is no Taylor at Crewe. Unless, of course, you are referring to some form of Gentlemen's Outfitters.

(5)
(1)

What a load of rubbish best joke ive heard all day i would love to know who tells you all of this

(6)
(1)

Another classic lie but well done learning to use a comp or phone

(8)
(1)

This appears to have been written by someone who has not watched, read or listened to eiher Jose or Reda. I suppose if you are not a fan and want to make some rubbish up you would not check basic information first.

This is the most stupid rumour i have ever heard. Get a life.

Wednesday looking at Liverpool born Andrew 'Andy' Iro. He most recently played for Toronto FC but is a free agent following his release. He had an unsuccessful trial at Nottingham Forest in January. He is a centre-back, possibly seen as a back up plan if other bids don't go wednesday's way

(0)
(5)

His agent has put his name forward to the club, apparently inundated with calls and videos of players all trying to jump on bandwagon. I suspect standard required to sign will be much higher than this chap.

(3)
(1)

17 May 2012 13:17:51
After Manchester United declared him available on a free transfer, Michael Owen is going on holiday to contemplate his next move. Would have a good influence around the club, if anything.......

(5)
(6)

No thanks may be only good for a few horse racing tips although Dascombe his trainer is dire.

(2)
(1)

Yeah a great influence sat in the treatment room all year whilst bleeding us dry of cash! Just because he was once a good player, doesn't mean he still is!

(6)
(2)

Michael Owen has just said on Sky Sports News he would not consider dropping down to the Championship

(5)
(0)

He'd be a waste of money, and it makes me laugh saying he wont drop down a league i'd like to see who will pay his wages to sit out injured every season. Wednesday need a 20goal a season man with pace and someone who isn't injury prone.

matt tubbs to sign today from crawley along with Bowditch for a combined fee of around 1.6m

(4)
(11)

Matt tubbs plays for bournemouth for starters why make s**t up

(14)
(1)

Tubbs plays for Bournemouth. Bowditch? You referrin to the one at MKD?

(5)
(1)

You could buy club for £1.6 million let alone two players. Has to be complete garbage.

(2)
(2)

Tubbs plays for bournemouth hes rubbish any where missed 2 sitters at hillsborough

(3)
(2)

Tubbs is at Bournemouth

(4)
(1)

Didn't Tubbs sign for Bournemouth in January

(5)
(2)

Wakey wakey,Tubbs joined Bournemouth,don't post if it's a lie

(2)
(1)

Matt tubbs signed for bornemouth in january

(0)
(1)

There must have been two Matt Tubbs's at Crawley then. I'm sure one of them signed for Bournemouth in January.

(0)
(1)

Get ur facts right before posting complete tosh matt tubbs is a Bournemouth player signed from Crawley in jan

(0)
(1)

Is that the same matt tubbs that signed for Bournemouth in January and is no longer at Crawley. I do wish people knew there stuff before posting total rubbish!!

(0)
(1)

Idiot. Tubb's left Crawley in January. He plays for Bournemouth now. Please.

(0)
(1)

Does anyone know where Matt Tubbs plays these days?

Cheers in advance.

(0)
(1)

Alright we get the message , he plays for bournemouth

(1)
(1)

How many times have people said he plays for Bournemouth we get it already

(0)
(1)

I think he signed for Bournemouth in Jan, could be wrong tho!!!

He has a twin brother of the same name FACT

17 May 2012 12:00:19
The person who told me about kieran lee signing which I posted on here first tells me tom heaton is very close to signing.

(13)
(1)

Is this a few inches, feet, yards or miles away. If he does sign we will have 4 at least Bywater, Jameson and Weaver.

(3)
(1)

We are interested in Heaton as we released 2 keepers earlier in the week - i also heard that this is pretty close to being a done deal

(2)
(0)

Dave jones said he wants another goal-keeper because he's going to let jameson go out on loan because he needs games under his belt

(1)
(0)

We may have numbers of keepers, but would you like to rely on them as stand-ins for Bywater ? Weaver's fitness always a problem and Jameson a risk. Would feel more comfortable with a reliable stopper

(3)
(0)

Next couple of days im told. Jameson is going out on loan.

(2)

17 May 2012 10:04:15
On Twitter one chap asked Rob Staton if it was true that Dave Jones will hold record for the most number of days without losing a competative match when becoming a manager of a British Football club. Rob Staton did not know. If this is true a very good accolade for manager and club.

(4)
(0)

As far as i've heard it's a record for being unbeaten and getting promoted.

(3)

17 May 2012 07:48:53

Kieran lee has had a medical at clermont hospital,
Fact!

(7)
(2)

He has more or less signed for us just gonna be a few days till confirmed.

(5)
(2)

CONFIRMED !!

(6)
(1)

Lee signs and love comment from star that they fought of competition from big league 1 clubs like Huddersfield no mention of the pigs caus they aren't as big as the massive

(4)
(1)

Won't go through until 1st of june because he's signing on a free

(2)
(1)

Great signing for you guys. He was never going to stay in League one, just a shame he's 24 about a week before his contract has expired as we could have done with the compensation. Good luck next season.

(4)
(0)

Or they didnt bid for him?

(1)
(1)

No just not a big club

(1)
(0)

Huddersfield and bournemouth were very intrested in lee but he chose swfc.

(1)
(0)

The lad chose right . first of many good signings hopefully . what a good time to be an owls fan right now , we deserve it!

Hesky joining

(5)
(11)

An ageing injury prone forward with a poor goals to games record I don't think so. Jones likes those that play in centre of forward line to be scorers/flare players rather than grafters hence O'Grady did not make many appearances after he joined us.

(6)
(2)

16 May 2012 19:50:33
barnsley may have put an offer in for reda jhonson

(2)
(15)

We cant let him go

(6)
(1)

Lots of other clubs might as well - but why would he want to leave ?

(6)
(1)

Barnsley could'nt afford him

(9)
(1)

Why would reda leave a team tht keeps gettin better n has 38000 ppl init or a team tht gets 9000 and has a really bad atmosphere best rumour i have ever heard

(7)
(1)

If thats true , theyve got no chance LOL

(4)
(1)

Haha thats quality leave a club like us that get 38000 fans or barnsley that ant got any money to offer and get 9000 fans average best rumours i have ever heard that one

(5)
(1)

Dave jones told bbc radio sheff theres been no offers for players. And we wouldnt sell him anyway!

(5)
(1)

If we can't fend off the dingles we won't be able to fend anyone off

(4)
(1)

Good for Barnsley but there is no chance at all that Reda would be in the slightest interested in the possibility of a move to little Barnsly. Why would he be?

(3)
(1)

Strong rumours linking O'Grady and Jones the winger, with Barnsley. I suspect they both may be in their reach. No chance they could get Reda.

(4)
(1)

That could be true about jones (winger) when megson went , barnsley manager was talking of the shock of it all and said he tried getting jones from bury but we got there first. does any one now why jones hasnt been getting a chance at hillsborough?

(2)
(1)

Jones not good enough. Megson was not impressed and neither is DJ. O'Grady has been linked with Barnsley on Twitter either Alan Biggs or Rob Staton.

swfc could be close to sign antonio and batth, roger jhoson and mabye dave kitson and mabye tom heaton (goal kepper)

(5)
(7)

Could be? says who? we 'could' be signing derek dooley but im pretty sure we wont be. looks like youve just browsed the last few dozen rumours and picked your fantasy team from that.

(4)
(3)

And naybe this and maybe that ? pppffttt !

Sheffield Wednesday looking to sign free agent Left back nicky Shorey following his release from west brom

(6)
(7)

31 - says it all. need to focus on signing antonio , batth, treacy and getting ranger on season long loan

(8)
(4)

Agreed! But to be honest we do need a natural left back and I think Shorey is perfect... He's had England caps

(5)
(3)

The chap who osts details of every player released on site is back. The person needs to think who plays left back and would an ageing full back whose legs have gone be an improvement or even provide competition.

(3)
(1)

We need cover in practically every position for the Championship.
Although MM has said theres a budget, if we can get quality players on frees who can come in and do a job if & when needed surely thats a good thing. It means theres more money available to get the Antonios, Rhodes etc that will be the mainstay of our first season in Champs.

(6)
(1)

31s no age, he would a very very good signing in the championship!!

(4)
(2)

Hope that SW doesnt go for Ranger...

(5)
(6)

Not ranger! he's a poor lazy player

(9)
(4)

Francis Jeffers had an England cap, look how well that one worked out!
Agree with aiming for Antonio, Batth and Treacy but not keen on Ranger, dont think he can score the goals we need!

(9)
(2)

Ranger would be a great signing
his hold up play is class and he has pace!
something we need upfront, also need a centre half and a left back and maybe a centre mid

(3)
(6)

How is shorey to old? he is 31! ian hart now how old is he? he was 1 of the best lb in champ last season shorey would be a class signing!

(4)
(2)

I agree we need cover, but reda johnson is much better than shorey. For me, he would be on bench. and Im not sure a 31 year old would want to sit on bench at the end of his career?

(2)
(2)

Ranger cant hold the ball up at all

(2)

Reading have just copleted Garath McCleary signing from Nottingham Forest on a free - it is now thought that they will now release Antonio to allow him to sign for us :o)

(12)
(2)

Hopefully we wont mess around getting him like we did with marshall

(5)
(5)

I can gurantee we sign akinfenwa and heskey for total of 200k

(2)
(6)

We didn't mess about with Marshall it was leicester that came in offering championship football

(3)
(1)

Yeah and were also signing pele and socretes for 3 million each bargains

(3)
(0)

Why do managers never release things, like we hear rumours why wont any swfc managers just say look fans we are after...............right annoying why they never tell us well not in my supporting days only16 though come on here alot

(0)
(4)

Because if he says who he is after other teams become interested and decide they want him

(6)

And terms or fee goes up.

Dave Jones has refused to comment on signing Tom Heaton (Free Transfer) - he is a Keeper that played last season for Cardiff

(6)
(0)

He has offered terms to Bywater and Jameson. We already have Weaver, sounds to me another keeper would be one too many?

(6)
(0)

Why are we constantly being 'linked' with goalkeepers? As far as I was aware Bywater joined on a permanent contract in January and as the other guy says, we already have Weaver and Jameson?

(1)
(0)

Jameson will go out on loan but bywater did kept loads of clean sheets so I don't see why we need another keeper.

Dave Jones says he's attempting to sign Michail Antonio from Reading

(11)
(0)

This time let's not f*** about like we did with Ben Marshall, get Antonio bought, get it over and done with before another club comes in!

(8)
(1)

If you listen to Dave Jones interview we are trying to get it done . Antonio has said he wants to come, but like anything else , its down to Reading , they will only sell when the deal is right for them.

(5)

16 May 2012 12:39:18

Swfc making a possible move on Roger Jonson

(9)
(3)

It's true i've just seen it on dailymail.co.uk apparently it would only be on a season long loan though due to fact wolves would want something back from the 4.5million they paid for him from birmingham. I'd rather put in a bid for Batth though.

(3)
(0)

Its true because its in a newspaper? Because everything that is in a newspaper is the truth....

(5)
(1)

This Kieron Lee , says on the oldam player profile he scored 2 goals all season? championship player , really? ;s

(0)
(6)

Johnson has to be the better option if we can get him ??

(1)
(1)

Kieron Lee is a right back - how many goals has Buxton scored this last season ?

(7)
(0)

Is this the same Johnson who turned up for trainig pi$$ed? do we really want that?

(3)
(2)

Says hes a middfielder on his player profile

(0)
(0)

He is a right back played in midfield when he was 18.

Oldham's Kieron Lee has had medical at Hillsborough this afternoon - April 2011 Lee picked up 4 'Player of the Year' awards for Oldham Players' player of the year and Fans' player of the year, also honours from Boundary Blues and Oldham Athletic Supporters Association

(12)
(7)

He picked up the same awards this season aswell.

(5)
(0)

Just waiting for paperwork to go through. Should be announced around 11ish.from what im hearing there could be 2 unveiled.

(4)
(2)

If you look on Wiki @ Kieran Christopher Lee it says current club Sheffield Wednesday but in the text says Oldham??

(6)
(2)

Sounds a solid player to me

(0)
(0)

Oldham fan here. Lee is a very good player and is also versatile as well. Can play left back and midfield. RB his best position. He will do well for you if he has signed, he's a good player. One of our good young players only 24yrs.

i dont know how true it is but apparently dj has been to reading for a meeting about 2 players probably antonio and the other one is said to be alfie because they dont think the 2 are good enough to play in the pl and heard we are interested in harry maguire from the blunts he is an owl fan and has said he would like to play for us he could be a decent signing but dont know if he is ready for the championship but by the sound of it milan is goin to be giving dj a big transfer budget UTO FTB

(6)
(5)

I live in Reading and know lots of Reading fans. One of them told me representatives from Wednesdays had been at the ground to discuss players he assured me it involved more than Antonio. I thought the person may be teasing me and now I have read this. If the person who wrote this is in the know the rumour could be genuine. Would the person who wrote this like to say where info came from.

(7)

My mate whos dad works at hillsborough but it could just be a rumour but i would take him with the goals he was scoring at the end of the season for reading

He's already had his medical and is set to sign tommorow according to rob stations twitter (radio Sheffield guy)

(3)

For those who say rubbish on site this was posted on Sunday. The Buxton fans may now realise he is a decent squad player and nothing more at Championship level. This lad is really well regarded and largely gone under radar.

Players in:- wittingham will make him captain Cardiff, Roberts huddrsfild, Wordsworth Colchester, freeman Stevenage, stock Doncaster, gray, Barnsley vukic and ranger loan Newcastle, grant burnley he's had a chat w roger jonsn wages could be an issue all depends on MM, Maynard of west hm an Norwich Simeon Jackson are the two he really wants he will try if not he will go with above!!

(4)
(13)

Rather have Jackson - Maynard partnership than gray - ranger

(10)
(0)

What about Antonio he's not on that list we better off having him then Roberts

(12)
(0)

Owls will only pay upto 500k reading want 1m including add ons maybe that's why? Heard liecster interested in him

(3)
(6)

As if Maynard would come to you he signed for West Ham in Jan! Plus he is injured!

(3)
(5)

The above is absolute drivel, the majority of these players Jones would not want and neither would most fans.

(6)
(2)

Your full of s##t, why would we want league 1 players now, did you know we've gone up? It's not even a rumor it's all in your head son!

(4)
(0)

Some people make some dribble up reading want 750 grand n we are willing to pay jones as already said hell pay that

(5)

I can't believe some so owls fans who think MM gona spend like mad he's not! get realistic if he's not gona sign good league 1 an championship players u think he's gona go for premiership players give me a brake an grow up stop dreaming of Rooney turning up at hillsbrough!!

Sheffield Wednesday will release six players approaching the end of their current contracts.
Goalkeepers Sean Cuff and Richard O'Donnell will seek new clubs over the summer, as will defender Jon Otsemebor, midfielder Chris Sedgwick and strikers Clinton Morrison and Vadaine Oliver.
From the academy, newly-crowned Player of the Year Jarrod Kyle steps up to first year professional status and midfielder Mitch Husbands also remains at the club for a further year.
Matt Tumilty, Lee Wall, Scott Canham and Tom Rowbotham will be released.
The Owls would like to thank all those players released for thier services and wish them well for the future.

(13)
(2)

Think its s shame rod has gone I thought he was a decent young keeper.

(13)
(1)

Sedgwick turned down new deal. linked with west ham

(1)
(17)

Sedgewick couldnt get a game in league 1 why would west ham want him

Dave Jones is set to sign Tom Heaton, Danny Guthrie and Grant McCann on free's. Also Wednesday may capture Andrew Davies, Chris Burke and Ross McCormack on big deals to show their intent on returning to the Premier League soon.

(8)
(7)

B.S Barry has been doing his rounds again lol

(7)
(3)

Hilarious good one this has made me laugh

(5)
(1)

Big signing- Andrew Davies? Sure he was on loan to Bedford in league 2 last year lol
Danny gutthie been injured that's only reason why newcastle havnt gave him a chance

(4)

14 May 2012 22:04:58
Johnathon Tehoue of Leyton orient will be released within the next two weeks.

AFC Wimbeldon, Gillingham and Rotherham all intrested.

(2)
(21)

Utter rubbish!

(9)

That's funny lambert just said there no chance he is leaving yet they have lined jones up!!! Really

(3)

14 May 2012 16:59:52
Dave jones has enquired about ishmail miller

(5)
(11)

Maybe he wouldn't want to stay at forest, they won't do very well this year! And we are ambitious this season so maybe a good rumour!

(4)
(0)

I like miller he's a all round player just needs the right passes and he'd score 15+

(4)

14 May 2012 12:21:03
Tom Heaton, Glenn Loovens, Hamer Bouazza, Chris Burke, Simeon Jackson and Billy Sharp to Wednesday. {Ed013's Note - Billy Sharp, no chance! He is in the Premier League now}

(0)
(19)

I've got an idea, let's just name random players without anyproof, I've heard were gonna sign demba ba

(18)
(2)

C'mon guys lets have a bit of sense on here - i fear a blunt smokescreen

(8)
(1)

About time Ryan lowe got a bite of the swfc apple, 2 other strikers needed to assist madine & lowe

(7)
(3)

Glen loovens, bouazza, Burke yes but the rest NO

(1)
(5)

If you think Ryan Lowe can play any part in Championship success you need to watch more football - above Lge1 level.
A lot of our players have over-performed brilliantly this season, but unfortunately won't have any part to play this season .

(8)
(6)

I rekon these are the players you signed on FIFA 12 for Sheffield Wednesday

(9)
(0)

Seen lowe play for Chester, bury and Wednesday he is composed, and an excellent goal poacher. Scored goals when needed. and Wednesday fans have stood by him, but obviously I need to watch more football

(6)
(0)

You said it yourself, Lowe is a cracker at Lge1 & below.

(1)
(2)

Same was said about le fondre now look at him

(3)
(0)

I agree with the Lowe doing well guy. A very clever player. He makes great runs but never gets the service. Always finds the right space in the box. Maybe the bew fox in the box? Really hope we take him along with us next year. This is all this when actually got a chance. Better than ranger and I've have him back too. Can't wait ain't it great being linked to spending money again an we actually made the tabloids. That ain't happened since 98! Up the wizards!

Just lifted from twitter...

@FootballNews210: Sheffield Wednesday Look set to name their first summer signing in Brian Stock on a free transfer #SWFC #DRFC

However, is it a risk with him being injury prone?

(6)
(7)

Decent player and we know he can play in championship

(1)
(9)

Kinda - relegated not sure I want that kind of player.

(7)
(1)

Who is he? was he at doncaster?

(5)
(0)

We already signed coalan laverey so its not the first

(5)
(0)

13 May 2012 09:35:04
dave jones to sign free agents anthony gerrard and adam hammill also looking at young premership stars benik afobe and will keane

(5)
(11)

Adam Hamill is still under contract I believe. {Ed013's Note - He may get a chance with Wolves now in the Championship. Although he didn't do much for Boro, he was very good at Barnsley}

(7)
(2)

Wheres the info from

(4)
(0)

I don't think so, although they have spoken to Arsenal in respect of possible loan signings next year. I also hear we have spoken to Everton and Tottenham regarding loan players.

(1)
(4)

Lee has been great for Oldham, won player of the year for the last two seasons. He's out of contract and there are a few Championship clubs after him. It would be a good signing for you. Good luck next season.

(0)
(1)

13 May 2012 09:18:59
Kieran Lee, Oldham's right back will sign when his contract expires next month.
Apparently he's won all the player of the year awards for the last two seasons.
Looked decent whenever i've seen him.

Looks like Dave Jones is busy building a decent size squad for Sheff Weds assault on the Championship

(4)
(3)

Hope so , can never tell with all this B.S on this rumour site , anyone agree :L

(5)
(1)

Right back is a position we are looking to sign someone. Can not say I have noticed this chap. We have watched Lowton (think he is an owls fan).

(1)
(3)

Why A Right Back?! Buxton Has Been A Great Asset To Our Team This Season..!

(7)
(2)

We only have one right back, I suspect rather than buy a reserve we will buy one to challenge Buxton.

(3)
(0)

Maguire is the wednesday fan not lowton mate

(0)
(2)

Buxton is the white Cafu!

(4)
(1)

They may both play for the pigs, but I'd take either player.

(2)
(0)

If Maguire a fan snap him up, best centre half in Championship.

(1)
(4)

I love the 'snap him up' comments all the time. If only it was that easy aye

(6)
(0)

Finally a blades fan back on our site saying were s**t look at the league table am sure were safe and sound in the championship and your in league one which means you lose kevin macdonald stephan quinn maguire lowton good luck lads we will be looking out for your next season ah

Tom Heaton; Glenn Loovens, David Buchanan, James Bailey, Chris Burke, Daryl Murphy, Simeon Jackson and Paul Taylor are being lined up for moves to Wednesday this summer along with some of last seasons loanees. In Dave Jones pursuit of a top six challenge next season.

(6)
(5)

Are you Dave Jones secret love child ?
You seem to know a lot !!!

(4)
(1)

Jones is looking for a goalkeeper but do not think Heaton fits the bill unless as a reserve. Rest of info inaccurate if my sources correct.

(3)
(1)

Ian Bennett from huddersfield could do a job ..but he hates Wednesday and would never come FACT

(3)
(1)

Pointless comment about Bennett..

(3)
(1)

Bennett is a good shout IMO ..why is it pointless ?

(1)
(0)

Just read comment

12 May 2012 16:12:14
Hudds will be joining us next year all other sides are poor maybe stevange but deffently not the blunts or mk dons

(12)
(2)

Rumour has it 2 million plus lowe and 1 other - possibly bennett to huddersfield for rhodes

(7)
(5)

Huddersfield most impressive but played a very poor team. SUFC defended well and were best team, passed ball and retained possession. I can understand why we have watched Lowton and Maguire.

(2)
(10)

United were poor against stevenage! Dont no which match you were watching!

(12)
(3)

Best comment av heard all day i watched the game and ive never seen 2 teams play as bad as they did last yesterday it was awful football

(9)
(1)

Blunts game bored the socks off me {Ed003's Note - me too)

(8)
(0)

Boring boring blunts, boring boring blunts, Iv been less bored watching paint dry. OvO

12 May 2012 14:33:15
What a player that williams is for mk dons, much better padser of the ball than any player in our team never mind liera, would fit into the side dj wants. However dont realy need a cb.

(5)
(5)

Sean Williams I think he's quality, he fits into the mk dons side cause they like to pass, now we DJ he likes us to pass, that lad would fit into the team

(2)
(4)

It was a poor performance by MK (they were the ones in the white shirts with red flash). Do not think any of their players were convincing. Huddersfield had it easy.

(8)
(1)

Deffo need a cb r.jones not good enough

(2)
(2)

12 May 2012 01:56:06
Dave Jones will attend the MK Dons and Huddersfield first leg play-off. In order to have a look at Jordan Rhodes and Stephen Gleeson, whom the Owls could make bids for after the play-offs are completed.

(6)
(12)

There both rubbish, league 1 players only, we need to look at some champ or prem players to buy!

(3)
(9)

Thats funny dj doing book signing 10am - 6pm today at owls megastore

(8)
(7)

He was at Megastore on Thursday evening and apparently scouting today but no idea where.

(5)
(2)

And DJ had to leave the book signing on Thursday early. He was called to an urgent meeting by Mr Aldridge regarding possible signing. Who I wonder?!?!?

(3)
(2)

If above is true has to be a player whose season has finished or out of contract.

(3)
(1)

12 May 2012 01:29:22
Owls to resign lee grant as he never wanted to leave us in first place he only went to save our club n he wants to come back (0v0)

(9)
(15)

Would be massively happy for this - like most owls, but is it just another pipe dream of us apparently signing our old favorites. I'm surprised that Brunt hasn't been linked yet.

(10)
(2)

Hes shockin, he gone downhill since he left us!

(9)
(7)

Well id haver him back st hillsborough. still got one of the best left foots , just my opinion.

(5)

Caolan Lavery has signed for Sheffield Wednesday. Not a rumour. His agent Thomas Brookes has confirmed on his twitter.

(15)
(7)

He's tweeted with his mates & family about signing too. Great signing, young and very promising !

(10)
(2)

It's on the Ipswichlife (and others) site too

(3)
(2)

Hope this is true i looked him up an so alot off prem and champ teams was interested at some point,
so fingers crossed he's one for future if he signs

lambert , rhodes , marshall , antonio, whittingham in,
o'grady ,jj, d.jones, batth, treacy, otsemobor out.

(9)
(20)

I have heard the same around the ground as I work there that whittingham has already agreed terms couple top champ clubs looking into Lambert and Rhodes but if hudds don't go up Rhodes to hillsborough for 2.5m with add ons

(10)
(9)

U wish

(9)
(2)

Lol, lambert? Not a prayer would be amazing but not happening

(7)
(1)

Let's make the rumours a bit more realistic gents! More likely out of contract players paying decent wages and high end loanees

(7)
(0)

Lambert as dreamed off making.it to the prem and he's done it the hard way as if he would drop back down to champ without testing himself

(4)
(0)

Lambert? correct me if im wrong but didnt he fire southhampton to the premiership? sound like the person who posted this rumour has been on the sherbert

(3)
(1)

I see no sign that we would pay anything remotely near Rhodes valuation. In any event he will probably get Premier League interest. We'll see how far Milan opens the purse strings, my guess is enough to ensure we stay up but anything more will require magic from DJ.

(1)
(3)

Is the Peter whittingham deal, a done deal that's what I keep hearing

(1)
(0)

Peter Whittingham is going to West Ham or a Premier League outfit. Chris Burke is a more realistic target due to Birmingham City's financial troubles. Plus we should still get Michail Antonio once Reading have worked out their plans.

(6)
(0)

Lambert? LOL

(5)
(1)

Lambert rumour is untrue but Lambert will not be a success at Premier level. Their manager who is extremely sharp may realise this and offload, Southampton sold what looked like key assets last year after promotion and still went up.

(1)
(2)

JJ has just signed :s haha lol

Kenwyne Jones and Glen Whelan could be coming back to Hillsborough.

(8)
(17)

They both would be good additions, but Pulis is Megson's mate and unlikely to do us any favours. Can not see us being able to afford Kenwyne and can not see them agree to loan players to us.

(3)
(3)

You guys are making me laugh so much haha

(6)
(2)

Wher is the source for this so called rumour, or is it another guestimated champ man transfer link>? UTO

(4)
(0)

Trigger must be reallly fed up coming on an Owls site just a couple of hours before a make or break game for his club.

(2)
(0)

We might as well call back chris waddle and john sheridan whilst were at it.............

(4)
(0)

More chance of getting TOM jones , never mind kenwyne!

(8)

11 May 2012 13:22:04
Okay people, you are all talking about whos coming in. So whos going out? Weaver, prutton, sedgewick, reynolds etc? What do your people think? And what about raiding the relegated teams like pompey and donny etc?

(8)
(1)

Agree those above are in that category. In addition O'Grady, Rob Jones, Daniel Jones and Winger Jones, O'Donnel, Jameson, Otsemabor I think will be released or allowed to leave.

(7)
(2)

I'm not in favour of raiding clubs relegated from the division we are moving into as they by and large don't make the grade (hence the relegation) but cherry picking the odd one maybe ok, I would like to see Antonio signed and maybe a couple of decent prem players on loan plus lets look at what the relegated prem teams have on offer {Ed013's Note - Portsmouth have some decent players going cheap}

(2)
(0)

11 May 2012 13:16:38
one player i think would be a great buy for us if we could get him would be Luke Freeman from Stevenage , very quick skillful player

(21)
(6)

He has looked a decent player and apparently we are monitoring play off matches so could be on radar.

Wednesday after Roger Johnson at wolves, source Daily Mail

(17)
(1)

This has been widely reported including by John Percy on twitter who says player is keen to join. Would be an excellent player for Championship.

(5)
(0)

This could mean we arnt getting Danny batth back

(7)
(1)

Yes John Percy also talking about us being interested in bringing Roger Johnston in so you never know - he us usually spot on ?

(4)
(0)

I presume it will be one or the other, quite certain Wolves will release one of them.

(2)
(0)

Wolves fan here, you can have Johnson, he's S!t. Been nothing but trouble since we bought him from Birmingham. Always Pi!ed, cant defend and disrupts the dressing room. We will be taking Danny back as he was only ever sent out on loan for experience. Now he has had that experience he will come back and will most deffinatly be a regular in the Wolves first team. Good luck to Wednesday next season and hope you finish below us!

Wednesday to sign matty fryat from hull this summer

(10)
(11)

Would we be happy with this? im not too sure, he's an ok player, id have him as someone for back up, doesnt get enough goals in my opinion

(3)
(6)

Good player Fryatt IMO. 16 goals last season in the Championship. Would like to see that happening.

(8)
(0)

Hes got about 15 league goals this season how is that not enough goals

(5)
(0)

Also had injury problems, think ok player sums him up.

(1)
(2)

He would be a great player for the way dave jones likes to play football can also play on the wing

Heard from an agent at wednesday yesterday that moses odubajio from leyton orient the 18yr old starlet is bein watched by us and several other clubs in a possible swoop. Also ranger bein palmed off by pardew as they dont see eye to eye

(8)
(2)

Ranger has court date in July. Realisticly can not see anyone buying him before this is sorted. If he gets off or just a fine, we could be interested. I suspect Newcastle will use this as opportunity to dismiss currently another 4 years of contract to go.

Dave Jones is after Burnley's prolific Charlie Austin not Jay Rodriguez, who is on his way to a Premier League club. Dave Jones as enquired about several strikers, has he hopes to bring in two or three to challenge Gary Madine. Widemen Michail Antonio and Chris Burke have also been targeted by Dave Jones, who is hoping to capture Roger Johnson. Wolves are planning on offloading their captain but holding onto Danny Batth. Wednesday are also keeping an eye on the League One play-offs, has offers could be made for a number of players involved, depending on which teams miss out on joining the Owls in the second tier.

(11)
(4)

The above sounds about right. I have heard we are monitoring final games of season in GB very closely but also watch out for foreign signings. League 1 and league 2 play offs both being watched. Absolutely delighted we have scouting system back.

(7)
(2)

We must be going to pay some wages if Burke and Roger Johnson are going to join.

(7)
(2)

11 May 2012 05:43:05
Wednesday could make an ambitious raid on Midlands rivals Birmingham City and Wolves. Roger Johnson is being linked in the press with being reunited with old boss Dave Jones, who also still wants to take fellow Wolves centre back Danny Batth permanetly from Wolves. Dave Jones could be set to steal another Cardiff old boy Chris Burke from cash strapped play off losers Birmingham City. Michail Antonio will be signed permanent too. Whilst Wednesday old boy Glenn Whelan could be ambitiously brought back to the club. Dundee United's Scottish U21 star Gary Mackay-Steven is also being tracked by the Owls. Striker wise DJ is weighing up offers for Paul Taylor and Matt Ritchie to offer competiton for Gary Madine and Ryan Lowe.

(9)
(4)

Again, are you being serious? why would they come to Wednesday when wolves are one of the favorites to return to PL??

(3)
(6)

Wolves are in complete disarray. They really struggled last year and teams who struggle badly in Premiership rarely go up the following season. They are bringing in a foreign manager who is bound to ring in own players so clearout likely.

(5)
(1)

Sheffield is in the north not the midlands {Ed020's Note - south yorkshire lol!!}

(1)
(0)

Teams that struggle in prem don't go back up !!!
WHUFC
Blackpool
Birmingham
Cardiff
correct me if I'm wrong but didn't 3 of the above PLAYOFF teams come down last year ??? ...

Haha what a stupid comment by a dillusioned fan MOT

Dave jones is after Roger Johnson of wolves on a season long loan:source daily mail.

(13)
(1)

Oh come off it , were never getting him. Bring back des walker !

(1)
(10)

This will never happen.

(2)
(8)

John Percy on twitter says the player is keen to join us. He has a good record of being accurate. Johnson has jad numerous well reported problems this year such as turning up drunk for training and fights with team mates. This will not make him easy to offload and Wolves want him out.

(6)
(2)

One or two rela negative comments suggest Trigger and co have left their sty.

(2)
(0)

No chance of johnson he is a premership player and if wolves sell him it wont be to someone in the same league he will be back in the premership my guess someone like , aston villa , wigan or another lower to mid table team

(1)
(6)

Mmm above comment sounds like someone from the sty. Johnson has had disciplinary problems and player himself wants to join. If we can meet wage demands we are in with a chance.

(4)
(0)

Johnson has had massive problems at Wolves, I am from Wolverhampton & know people at the club. He is not a PL player, he is Championship at best. Apparently he wants to work with DJ again as it was DJ who bought him from Wycombe & they work well together.UTO

Olifajana and Hobbs a double swoop from hull

Dj has enquired about jay rodriguez of burnley 1 goal every 2 games ratio last season and contract expires next march {Ed013's Note - They want 5-6 million for him}

(3)

Shows ambition and very good player but Rodriguez is attracting Premier interest.

I can't help but think everyone is getting carried away with talk of another promotion next year. We have to consolidate for a season or two first. Take Southampton. We don't have a Ricky Lambert or an Adam Lallanna ( spelling ? ) . Antonio looks class in League 1 but why couldn't he get a game for Reading last year ? Look around the team and especially those who are our players and with the exception of Buxton, Llera, Semedo and Madine, ( and maybe Bywater and Reda ) I don't see anyone with the ability or potential to play in a top championship side. I know MM will invest and DJ is a top manager - but a reality check is required - take it from one who has seen the bad times over the past 15 years ! Saturday was unbelievable and we have some brilliant foundations with MM and DJ in charge - but one step at a time please

(10)
(5)

Agree Only around 4 -players are good enough for the championship, it would appear that the chairman wants promotion within a short space of time, hopefully he will fund Dave Jones for some players capable of the next levels up

(5)
(1)

Firstly if you can not dream when you have just won promotion when can you. Another promotion would be nice but agree it may take one, two or three as Mandarich stated. What we are saying is we need players who can deliver at Championship level. It is no use buying players who are a make do and have to be replaced next year.

Think you have correctly pointed out the scale of rebuilding required is huge and from DJ comments when he talked about a "revolution in the summer" when he first came I expect substantial change. From your list would only see Buxton and Bywater as squad players, others mentioned I could see them as a success at this level. Believe Lines and Beevers could be a squad players but unsure about rest.

A good team spirit and bond does count for a lot and Southampton and Norwich teams have many players who were thought not suitable for Premiership and Championship but proved folks wrong. Hope some of ours can do the same. Last time we went up little change was maid and we struggled so hoping for some good acquisitions.

(5)
(2)

What happened last Saturday ?

(5)
(3)

As its a team game sometimes players just dont gel. Antonio has done with us and I am confident that he we be very effective in the Championship.
I don't think that fans enjoying promotion and looking forwards to the next level need a reality check, if we were all doom and gloom we wouldn't be in this situation.

(1)
(1)

I agree with no getting carried away but nothing wrong with optimism, a rare commodity at Hillsborough. I to be honest I hope the blades get promotion for two reasons. 1, derby games an 2, Sheffield has taken a pummelling over the last few years and two teams doing well is good for the city so lets enjoy ourselves and learn to dream, aspire, think big and stand stall my fellow Owls!

(4)
(3)

Agree with above point about United and wonderful uplift for City. My dream was to win Premiership or FA Cup and have Utd as runners up. Half of Manchester is going to be absolutely gutted at the weekend.

(2)
(0)

At the moment were 25-1 to win the league and 6-1 for promotion, if everyone else is confident then so should we! in milan we trust

(4)
(0)

Have some of you not been to school before?
PS Buxton is more than capable of playing Championship standard!

(4)
(2)

I hope SUFC get battered ...I'm not interested in this " it's good for the city stuff ".

(9)
(2)

On Twitter it is reported Leeds winger Adam Clayton has signed for Leicester. He plays same position as Marshall. Hence Marshall rumour may be true. {Ed013's Note - Clayton plays center Midfield}

(1)
(4)

Yes Buxton can play at Champioship level but realisticly not in a promotion team. He struggled against some Championship wingers two years ago and will again.

(1)
(2)

Having SUFC in Championship is good financially for the Owls. Only thing better is if they went to the wall so Wednesday would have a much better fan catchment base. Sometimes you have to look beyond rivalry. Besides we will get at least 4 points off them if they are promoted.

(0)
(4)

Buxton has progresswd and 2 years ago wasnt as good on the ball as well as defending, hes more than capable for champ and any mupit who says otherwise needs to get themsen to the games

(2)
(2)

Saeason ticket holder and 12 away games this season. He does not have pace of top quality full back. Will be a good squad player who will cover at back but do not be surprised to see him start on bench for first game if Jones gets in his players.

(1)
(0)

Totally agree with the first comment we do not have a 30 goal a season striker which you need to even get close to going up auto southampton only did it on the last game dont forget , same as norwich with grant holt , we need to become a strong championship side then go from there

Dave Jones has said rumours that he's agreed a fee for Antonio is "rubbish", but he has had several conversations with Reading. Antonio's said, "If [Dave Jones] wants to talk to Reading about me, I can't say no." Taken from Hallam FM reporter (Kelly O'Donnell)'s Twitter account.

(7)

DJ has enquired about Antonio nothing more.

b.marshall on loan next season, antonio to sign jj to leave

(3)
(6)

I,m a wednesday fan and to tell u all the truth i,m fed up about marshall rumours .forget about him 1, he chose leicester cos he was greedy,2,we,ve had better players over the years and we have,nt cried about them like we have him, forget and move on

(8)
(8)

I doubt Ben Marshall will come back, and even if he did it wouldn't be this early seen as he just signed for Leicester.

(5)
(2)

Marshall's playing well for Leicester recently, they wouldn't want to loan him out anyway! But let's forget him and move on! Tbf, don't think he moved to Leicester out of greed, don't think we even made an offer for him...

(4)
(4)

I agree with the comment above,
Plus he's been leicester best player since January so they would not let him go anyways
Pointless rumour

(4)
(2)

I am aware Ben Marshall would return to Hillsbrough tomorrow and prefers Owls to Leicester. The above comment implies greed on his part, this is wrong. He would not sign a new contract at Stoke and had to leave if he wanted to play football. Leicester met Stoke asking price, Wednesday did not. Remember our Chairman was at the time being prosecuted by Inland Revenue and you can not blame him for not wanting to commit £750,000 at that stage when he faced prison if found guilty. If he does arrive it will not be on loan (at least at beginning of season).

(4)
(2)

Nigel Pearson sees Marshall as one of his key players for next season. Any rumours that he's coming to hillsborough are false. If Antonio comes it won,t be for a while Reading are under no pressure to sell and they will wait to make a decision depending on how sucessfull they are in the transfer market. Due to his performances a season long loan may be considered by reading

(1)
(2)

Why would marshall sign back here on loan when he's in the leicster team. from what ive seen he's already scored some pretty good goals for them. stop makeing BULL.S up , many thanks :D

(2)
(1)

I'm an owl living in in Leicester, There fans don't like Marshall think he is not good enough, rumour is only bought him to piss Mandric off

(3)
(3)

Why is he picked most weeks then?

(3)
(1)

A player may be picked and play but does not have to be a fans favourite. Marshall not keen on Leicester not certain why but know he has not settled. He is friends with a few Wednesday players and still keeps in touch with them.

(2)
(1)

Antonio and Marshall on the wings. Would make i nice combo for any championship side

(2)
(0)

Sorry but someone of you need to get over promotion and have a think about how good our side actually is.

Few of our players stood out in the league this season, Megson built a League One side, IMO will need vast improvements and investment to compete in the Championship

(1)
(0)

When Jones took over he said there would be "a revolution" in the summer to bring things to his way of playing. Genuinely believe he has found more talent than he thought was there but I suspect at least 8 new faces likely. Can only see 4 of current squad getting a start if he gets players in he wants.

(1)
(0)

We met leicesters offer for marshall, but he could'nt turn down champ footy, which at the time we was not in the driving seat. He shud of stayed till end of season on loan. His loss antonio has done more in less time UTO :)

Antonio said he wants to stay at Wednesday hope reading want to sell him

(7)

He may be thinking this but has not stated publicly yet.

(4)

It would be great to get Antonio, DJ has already enquired so now as always its up to the parent club....

Antonio as said in public he wants to come, he stated at the award evening sunday night

Why are people saying judge isnt good enough as he played in league 1 this season, every player we have played there this season! if your good enough your good enough full stop.

(2)
(3)

Totally agree and would fancy Ritchie too

(4)
(1)

Ritchie is a different proposition to Judge. Some players you know will struggle at an higher level and Judge is one of those he always looks rushed. Ritchie always seems to have time on the ball and that suggests he can play at an higher level.

(2)
(1)

Judge is only 20/21 if i'm right, patience will come with experience he definately does the right things though

Our lasses dad told me Wednesday trying to bring kenwayne Jones back on season long loan but dunno how try this is but he doesn't get a sniff at stoke

(3)
(6)

Doubt Kenwyne would want to drop down to Championship. And Pulis said in January that Kenwyne wasn't going anywhere, but that might have changed by now. Hope like anything it's true, but I can't see them letting their 27yo £8m record-signing just go out on loan with very little chance of making it permanent.

(3)
(3)

09 May 2012 14:04:46
Antonio deal almost done

(7)

Well he isnt that good

Just heard this:

Madine has already been sold to Ipswich for £3M.

Rhodes coming to Hillsborough after play offs!

(4)
(21)

Are you having a laugh, I am rolling around in stiches, 3m for that and why would Rhodes come to you when West Brom are sniffing around him??

(7)
(3)

Wednesday will not sel madine! why get promoted and sell your best asset? he's improving loads just needs to calm down of the field

(11)
(1)

Not a chance, of rhodes

(5)
(7)

Rhodes wud be great 'if' Huddersfield fail to go up... But if higher profile clubs come in he'd prob go there, wud be nice if his dad cud pull a few strings seein as hes part of our staff!

As for Madine goin 'HAHA', he aint goin no where, just had his bail conditions switched so he can attend the celebration tonight

(5)
(2)

It appears Trigger and his disgruntled pals are back on here posting rubbish.
Never mind, we are promoted and they are not. Nuff said.
Also, I'm sure we will have the last laugh when the Blunts a knocked out by Stevenage in the play offs.

(6)
(0)

Madine has a court case in July for Assault and ABH. Who would buy a player with this hanging over them? Therefore absolutely stupid rumour. Rhodes will leave Huddersfield if they are not promoted. He lacks pace which rules out Premiership (if he had pace his record would have meant he would have gone at last transfer window) and means goalscoring in Championship will be harder. Hence price will be nowhere near some of figures quoted.

(3)
(1)

Why would Rhodes come to us, they might go up yet

(1)
(1)

Plus West Brom want Rhodes, njot a chance will we get Rhodes dont talk rubbish

(0)
(1)

To answer the previous posters question - "Madine has a court case in July for Assault and ABH. Who would buy a player with this hanging over them?" - Wednesday bought Madine when he had a case of arson pending! He may have been found not guilty (or maybe acquitted, not sure) of that charge, but least not forget that he also had an previous conviction for assault, for which he was sentenced to 250 hours community payback.

I sincerely hope that we sell Madine this summer. He is an arrogant, disruptive, horrible s**t, who is more of a liability than an asset to the club. Talk such as "he is young, he will calm down, give him a chance" is short-sighted nonsense. His behaviour will only get worse over time. Does anyone credit the likes of Aaron Ramsey (same age as Madine) with being a model professional because he is young?....no, so the suggestion that a player should be excused from appalling behaviour simply they are in their early 20s.

Bottom line, Madine is just not that good anyway. He was 5th top scorer in the division, but compare his number goals scored as a proportion of the overall number of goals scored by his team and he is way below the 4 players above him in the scoring chart, and indeed many of the players below him.

Why is that significant? “ because in a high scoring, successful side like Wednesday have been this season, should you not expect a more from your leading striker? He does not even offer much to the team beyond the goals he scored (I could accept that from a player like Rhodes, who scored 46% of his teams goals, as opposed to Madine's 22%).

O'Grady is better at holding the ball up, winning flick-ons and generally physically bossing opposing defences (he was at League 1 level at least), Lowe is far better at getting behind defences, working hard to force mistakes and, crucially, at scoring (much better return for minutes on the pitch this season). Don't get me wrong, I don't think either of the above are the answer to our striking needs for next season, but at least they are good professionals who give their all.

That cannot be said of Madine, who has had criminal charges hanging over him for much of his short time at S6, who was out injured with a broken toe (widely understood to be a fighting injury from his exploits in town) and who undoubtedly decided he was not going to put a shift in after Megson had (quite rightly) had a go at him for his indiscretions (remember the 4 or 5 awful and plainly lazy performances before Jones came in?). The Owls need at least 2 new strikers for next season, probably 3, which is a tall task to get 2 or 3 good enough on the money which we will have available “ Dave Jones, please take anything you can get for Madine now to boost the coffers and avoid this person from further bringing bad news to the door of our beloved club. UTO, WTID

(2)
(7)

Was it u who madine punched??theres obviously an underlining problem here.madines our top goal scorer and the youngest off our strikers and majority of our squad.hes highly rated at this level a lot of clubs would love his services and he's only gona get better!

(4)
(0)

Madine will stay, may end up being fringe, but will still stay, i think rhodes would be up for Wednesday, he was at the final game and his dad works here already, however would only come if hudders DONT get promotion

Emile Heskey set to sign for Wednesday on a free.

(6)
(18)

Keep dreaming pal heskey will stay in prem.or a team relegated from prem.. fact {Ed020's Note - sunderland are sniffing around him as are leicester, both have major money}

(4)
(4)

Wouldnt want him.

(12)
(3)

I can see him goin to leicester because he use to play for them but as i said above he'll probs stay in prem,
And who ever put i wouldn't want him but have not seen him play i admit he's not a goal scorer but he creates alot rooney even said he's the best striker he's played with,

(4)
(3)

Heskey is a shadow of player he was. Also has injury problems. If he signs for a Premier team will be pay as you play deal.

(4)
(2)

His wages would cost too much

(4)
(2)

Give me the money I'm better than heskey

(3)
(1)

A shadow of the player he was? When has he ever been a player?

(2)
(2)

Heskey should change his name to carpet. He spends long enough laying on the ground.

Not bad but rather have someone else defo not Alex Bruce.. maybe if he was like his dad Steve Bruce then it would be a different story but he's not.

(2)
(1)

Gerard not regular first teamer at Cardiff and notwanted by club. This is agent trying to get his man a move. Apparently well down Wednesday list of potential recruits.

Sheffield Wednesday are looking at Alex Bruce as back up in case they are unable to secure the signing of Danny Batth. The 27 year old has been released on a free transfer by Leeds United.

(4)
(12)

We got rid of him a few years ago so doubt we want him.

(7)
(2)

We got rid of Jamie Vardy and turned down players such as Jaap Stam, Cantona, Cameron Jerone etc so that argument is pointless but I still wouldnt want Bruce as he isnt particularly very good!

(6)
(3)

Please point out which ones of those we have signed after releasing?

(3)
(1)

Haha that made me laugh

(2)
(0)

I hope Bruce has improved. Little more than average for me last time he was with us

(1)
(0)

Bruce is terrible - god no

(4)
(0)

Alex Bruce only ever on loan so never released.

(2)
(0)

Never got rid of jamie vardy pal just turned him down, just like jordan bowery! big mistakes

(3)
(0)

Can't believe you compared stam and cantona to cameron ****in jerome!

Michail Antonio will be signed up permanetly soon. Wednesday are also weighing up offers for young stars Gary Mackay-Steven, Ryan Hall, Paul Taylor and Charlie Austin. Also contracts may be offered to the experienced Championship level campaigners Grant McCann and Paul Green. A offer should also be made for Danny Batth but if that fails then Dave Jones may switch his sights on linking up again with former Cardiff star James Collins.

(10)
(8)

Hope this is true at least in part. McKay-Steven is a talent and left sided forward which is what we need. Austin is also a proven goalscorer at Championship level and we will sign at least one more forward. Green is a good solid hardworking player and again in area we need.

(6)
(0)

I have the greatest admiration for DJ's ability to handle difficult players and to get the best out of them, but suspect that Ryan Hall would be a real challenge, even for him

Alan judge to be pinpointed as a possible move for around 300k from notts county

(9)
(8)

Why are we wanting to sign league 1 players when we are now a championship side. We want better players who can play at this level at football. UTO

(7)
(8)

Isn't he the Irish Messi? Paul Merson on soccer saturday said he could see why he was brilliant!

(3)
(2)

Paul merson knows nothing

(6)
(1)

Judge was impressive against us at Notts County, their only decent player and scores some good goals. Would be a good signing.

(3)
(1)

MM has stated that he will give DJ the money for players n wages to strengthen squad to championship level that will take us up, so cant see us goin to lower levels for players

(3)
(2)

If they're good enough to make the step up then whats the problem with signing league one players? We've made loads of mistakes before in signing better-known players who haven't performed for us.

(2)
(0)

Why not just because they are at a lower level doesnt mean they are good enough, jamie vardy is supposed to be too good he played last season in the conference, wouldnt sign le fondre as he was in league 2 and look what happened to him, if your good enough your good enough full stop, if you hadnt noticed we have a squad of league one players already

(3)
(0)

Wednesday have made mistakes signing players at all levels and also had some success. Fully agree there are good players to be found at lower levels. Judge is an ok player and may get by at Championship level but in my opinion will not be part of a succesful Championship side. Think we need players who have that extra something and he just does not do it for me. If he had been turning in great performances he would be being touted round for considerable more than £300,000. He is probably a £150,000 player at best.

Heard a rumour that we are trying to sign Lee Barnard for £500k from Southampton and Stuart Beavon from Wycombe Wanderers.

(9)
(15)

Beavon is not a Championship player.

(15)
(7)

Actually its Andy Bevin, a New Zealand U21 who scored and real cracker of a goal in the last U17 world cup. He's currently playing for some outfit in the USA, can't remember which.

(3)
(4)

Barnard worth 250k at best

(7)
(3)

Young player with a future would be a good squad player and one for development team.

(7)
(1)

Beavon was non-existent against us on promotion day!

Simon Grayson the Huddersfield Town manager says Jordan Rhodes isn't for sale for lower than 3.5 Million. Meanwhile Sheffield Wednesday are currently in talks with Reading over a move for 2 players. To be released in the next week

(7)
(3)

Le Fondre Antonio released already

(4)
(11)

There is no chance of Huddersfield letting Rhodes go for. £3.5 mn. They don't need the money and will get at least £5mn from a premiership club or someone newly promoted like Reading

(7)
(5)

Id love to know the sources of this stuff

(6)
(1)

I know there's probably no truth in the rhodes rumour but madine and rhodes up front , that does sound interesting. have to wait and see what happens.

(2)
(0)

The le fondre rumour is laughable. he scored some good goals to get them promoted , hes going no where sadly

(6)
(3)

Rhodes does not have pace for Premiership, he would score goals in Championship. Five million price tag will not be met. If Huddersfield do not go up he will leave.

(4)
(1)

Antonio has not been released. Those released include Brian Howerd, Thomas Czywa, and Andy Griffin al others are juniors. Do not think any of above 3 would interest us. We have asked about Arsenal midfield players on loan for season (Jones is a friend of Arsene Wenger).

(5)
(2)

You actually being serious you bloody pilchard

(1)
(4)

Which comment is the person above referring to, if regarding players released by Reading, just check their website.
You will see at beginning of next season if we have a player on loand from Arsenal or not, but not put any money on us not borrowing a player from them. I know we have been in touch with them and Wenger will let DJ know who is available at start of next season.

(6)
(0)

I bet we will get that goal keeper from arsenal that doesnt play alot on loan

(1)
(2)

Bywater has done a good job, id give him the chance in championship!
yeah we need some new aditions, but it was these boys that got us here!

(1)

07 May 2012 18:54:57
Wednesday interested in Batth Antonio Adam Clayton and Rhodes

(9)
(0)

Adam clayton would be the creative midfielder we need althuogh lines is stil quality

(3)
(1)

Can not see him being suitable if Warnock off loading him. Warnock does know what it takes to get out of the Championship.

(5)
(0)

Is lines championship quality though, he is good, but that's the question?

(3)
(4)

Lines has been brilliant this season and has the engine to continue in the championship. UTO.

(5)
(4)

We need another one or two central midfield players. Prutton was released at this level last summer. Lines and Samedo only two we have thus need a third and more than likely a fourth so we have adequate cover. Lines is a good player with good distribution and powerful running. He polarises opinion of fans think this is due to appearing not to commit wholehertedly to tackles. Could go either way in Championship probably ok but not a star.

(3)
(1)

Lines isn't "quality", he has looked a decent player at best in a poor league. If our ambitions are to be in the top half of the championship (or higher) and not just survive next season then we need to replace him - harsh but true - we only have Semedo as a central midfielder who would get anywhere near a top championship side. DJ will sort it out though - the best manager we have had in years and he knows that league inside out.

(3)
(1)

Are you lot being serious? lol ha

(0)
(0)

Ive had doubts bout some of our players, but DJ has brought out their quality and believe he can continue to do so! hes changed our way of playing and its worked! alot of our players are still young and can make a great name for them selves, i believe a few aditions will be enough (in the right areas) a couple more in each position shud do it!

(0)
(0)

Lines is a league 1 player at best

(0)
(0)

Lines has the most assists of anyone this season with 12 (Marshall and Antonio have better assist-to-appearance ratios though.) Can people please stop mentioning Rhodes? We're interested in him in the same way Yeovil are interested - he's a brilliant player, but Mandaric isn't going to spend the >£5m (plus wages) to sign him, and he wouldn't want to come to a club in barely any better position than Hudds!

(0)
(0)

07 May 2012 13:09:05
Looking like Richard O'donnell has been released, shame because he's a decent goalkeeper

(7)
(8)

Danny Wilson has confirmed his interest in signing saint Jude. By all accounts he will settle in well at Bramall lane being the patron saint of lost causes !

Wednesday had scouts at latest Crewe and Motherwell matches, no idea who they were watching but report is accurate.

Max Clayton, from crewe

Sheffield Wednesday are looking at Adam Clayton from Leeds United. Adam has been transfer listed by Leeds manager Neil Warnock.

Where did you hear this? Cause if it's true it would be a great signing!

Sheffield Wednesday interested in two midfielders, Marlon Pack from Cheltenham and Alan Judge from Notts County.

06 May 2012 22:07:08
Antonio, paul green, nile ranger and ross mccormack all linked with a move to wednesday

(5)
(3)

Was unsure about Ranger but you could see him improve with games and had a good all round game against Wigan.

(1)
(6)

MacCormack has been offered a new contract at Leeds. Doubt he'd want to come to us - we may be wealthy and ambitious but we've still only just been promoted from 3rd tier, Leeds will certainly be looking for playoffs next season, while I think we'd be happy with mid-table.

Heard rumours from a number of my sources that we are signing Michail Antonio permanently for £750k and also interested in Derby County's out of contract midfielder Paul Green.

(8)
(3)

Weres all these gobby blades fans on our rumour sites sayin were rubbish a said wed be the ones singing at the end unlucky blunts

(6)
(2)

Heard the Jordan Rhodes rumour! If we go up (which we have!) and Huddersfield don't, he's coming to us, obviously with links, cause his dad is our GK coach! Looks good for the owls! Future looks brilliant!

(3)
(4)

Fairly confident that Antonio won't be in Reading's 25 man squad. Do we need to pay the fee or just wages and take him on loan. He sounds really positive about the move too!

(5)
(0)

06 May 2012 15:56:39
there's rumors saying we Getting Jordan Rhodes for £2.5mil and Antonio for £750K don't know how true this is though

Haha i hope we do get jordan rhodes , hope his dad persuades him but i think ive got more chance of cheryl cole asking me back to her place lol

(7)

06 May 2012 14:37:50
Really surprised at lack of rumours thought there would be a deluge of them.
Understand we are looking for the following;
a goalkeeper
right back
centre back
3 midfileders, creative and wide men (Arsenal player being discussed, and Marshall wants to come back next season)
2 strikers (Vardy)

Plus recruits for development suad which is already in process.

Oh and Mandaric has been chatting to 3 American bilionaires about possible deals.

(4)
(7)

So then , where have you heard marshall wants to come back?

(2)
(5)

His agent apparently he does not like atmosphere under Pearson, he has been told Wedneday dressing room still good uinder Jones.

(0)
(3)

05 May 2012 22:28:26
Max Clayton (leeds) Micheal Chopra and Mark Hudson in plus a winger if antonio goes

(7)
(5)

Adam clayton u fool ... no chance

(3)
(2)

Adam clayton* max is that prospect at crewe if im right?

(4)
(1)

I just hope MM spends his cash and that we give it a right good go. that crowd at hillsborough was AMAZING!

(5)
(1)

Greta atmosphere !! Used to be like that - and more - back in the day !! Lets hope this is just the start of the way back to that !

I believe it's true because Lavery is in Sheffield and he has been out on the town with Matt Fletcher. Also because a bunch of Wednesday players (mostly younger) had started following him on twitter before anything about him signing for Wednesday came up. Some of them have also been talking to him on twitter.
Ipswich fans spoke about Bennett going to Wednesday on their site but I think that Lavery is also a really good bet. He has also told another friend, asking him about his career a few days ago, that he "was sorted". It is probable that it has not been announced yet because of the big game on Saturday or maybe all the details have not been ironed out yet. Or even that they are waiting to see if Wednesday are promoted.

(5)
(1)

I'd be surprised if Jones/MM/Aldridge were speaking to any potential signings at this point. They would have wanted to concentrate on the MASSIVE game coming up, and also to know what league we'd be in next season.

(0)
(0)

03 May 2012 00:09:06
Caolan Lavery is the Northern Ireland U21 player supposed to have signed with Callum Bennett and Matt Fletcher. He's a striker with dual nationality, Canadian and Irish.

(7)
(3)

If these are true how come theres nothing on the official website

(4)
(2)

The above is a good question but the twitter account of Matt Fletcher confirms his signing and a lad from Ipswich. Can only think it ios because they are seen as development squad players. Jones did say he intends to have a development squad next season and we seem to be recruiting one.

(5)

02 May 2012 07:31:25
Wednesday have signed a Matthew Fletcher an u20 australian striker. Source from his own and cecil Nyoni twitter pages. Also says an ipswich lad also signing. Never heard of Fletcher? anybody else? UTO

(6)
(6)

Yes it's Callum Bennett and there's a third player signed as well, all I know is he's an Irish U21 player

(3)
(3)

Really where are these so called rumours or players coming from, any reliable sources..? UTO

(2)

02 May 2012 11:30:36
Oxford sign Australia U20 striker, Matthew Fletcher

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16162100

(0)
(6)

Look at Matthew fletchers twitter account,he's confirmed it's a done deal

(5)
(1)

So hes signed for us and oxford then i see..!? uto

(4)
(2)

No he only signed a short term deal with Oxford united in January and now he's joined Wednesday, yeesssshhhh that was hard work

(3)
(3)

On his twitter ur rite wow uto

(0)
(2)

MM will invest heavily if we gain promotion on Saturday .He believes in DJ to produce a southampton style double promotion. Treacy is sure to sign as burnley have to slash their wage bill . Expect alot of squad players such as Daniel Jones, prutton ,Reynolds and Morrison to be on their way. Quality young players will be high on the list and MM will not entertain journey men players such as Scotland and dyer being shoved under our noses by their agents. Upgrading the ground is also high on the agenda so Sheffield as a package will appeal to an investor when Mm believes the time is right to sell the club on.

(9)
(2)

These are not first team players, but ones to bolster squad and hopefully make step up to first team in a couple of years. Very good news as shows planning ahead, if one comes good will be worthwhile venture. I have to agree if promted will be a huge clear out. In addition to above named I expect O'Grady, Sedgwick, Jermaine Johnson, Rob Jones, Otsemabor, Coke, Bennett and Mike Jones not to survive the season if not moved on prior to kick off.

wednesday intrested in luke varney portsmouth, neil mellor preston, sammy clingan coventry, antonio and batth

(3)
(19)

Clingham, antonio and batth realistic targets but as for varney and mellor no chance they are not good enough!

(19)
(5)

Think Baath is only one likely out of this list to be signed.

(7)
(4)

Really not interested in Mellor. He retired from football!

(2)
(1)

01 May 2012 14:11:38
Hameur Bouazza reportedly wants to leave Millwall so Jones is keeping his eye out incase Burnley want to retain Treacy.

(10)
(5)

Treacy signed to help win promotion from league 1. I can not see him holding down a spot in a side with ambitions to compete at top of championship.

(6)
(1)

01 May 2012 14:06:25
Michael Chopra is rumored to be joining the owls due to good relations with Dave Jones. The deal will only go through if Wednesday are promoted though. Mark Hudson apparently joining as well, to replace Danny Bathh when he inevitably goes back to Wolves. UTO

(8)
(3)

I bet Chopra don't sign....Boom boom!

(6)
(5)

Good player though love him at Wednesday. Good things on the way ladies and gents. Exciting times!

(5)
(1)

Since he joined Owls lots of his former players have been linked with Owls. He does not have an history of shipping in lots of players from old clubs and introduced fresh talent to his side each year. He does sign players who other managers find difficult (wayward talents) to handle and does well with them. So waiting for Balotelli to be linked :-)

(6)

01 May 2012 09:06:03
Callum Bennett to sign from Ipswich - Academy player of the Year.

(5)
(1)

Source of info, have seen we were interested. He will cost money as under 23.

(2)
(0)

Varneys better than any striker we've had for a long time

(2)
(12)

01 May 2012 00:54:29
Gary Madine to blow all intreast away from other clubs and pledge his long term future to the owls, as he sees the club as one that is moving forward!

Also Antonio will be signing for roughly 550k with add-ons.

DJ will also try and fetch in a CB to replace Danny bathh thought to be Dedryk boyata on loan or maybe permanent but with him being a young mcfc player he might be quite pricey

(16)
(3)

What is the source of the above?
Antonio struggled at Championship level, with Reading, thought DJ may want to see how he does at this level before buying him.

(2)
(2)

He dint struggle at champ level reading never gave him a chance

(6)

29 Apr 2012 21:47:14
sheff wed are intersted signing Youl Mawene from
aberdeen.

(2)
(20)

Can't we have Peter Parker in goal instead?

(2)
(4)

27 Apr 2012 09:43:56
Ex Leeds United left back Ben Parker in talks with both Sheffield clubs.

(3)
(8)

He's balls

(9)
(2)

Its in our hands now wednesday. the piggies have blown it. couldnt be more proud. we looked out of it not long back. best birthday present ever. UTO

(11)
(1)

There's a realistic Prospect a bid will be made for Antonio if we go up as Reading are already looking at other wingers. The issue is if the player is prepared to move up north or would come for another loan spell for a season. It is almost certain ranger will return to Newcastle.

(2)
(2)

This is now the last push for the owls. Who would have dreamed we would be where we are now 2 yrs ago when we nearly went out of business. A gratitude of debt is owed to MM , GM , DJ for turning this club round. The players have fought tooth and nail and have to be applauded for their no surrender attitude. The biggest thanks has to be to the thousands of wednesdayites who support the club through thick and thin and whom I am proud to be part of. Muster any blue and white scarf, balloon ,flag or inflatable you can get your hands on and sing your hearts out one last time in Saturday. If anyone from the club reads this Plse do all you can to release more tickets to the fans .I am sure we could open the triangle adjacent to the north stand and leppings lane just this once.

(14)
(1)

Weve done it lads 90 mins away and its funny how piggys arnt coming on our forums nemore carnt hear them singing either

(8)
(1)

We haven't done it yet mate. Let's all laugh at the Blades on Saturday when it's all over.

(11)
(1)

Relying to the earlier post (the very long post!) absolutley agree with everything you said, MM GM DJ all inspirational! MM is a legend! I will be singing my heart out on Saturday, I have been to every match this season bar 1! And I wouldn't miss this one for the world! Can't wait for the promotion party after words, touch wood we win! Wednesday till I die! UTO FTB

24 Apr 2012 13:52:56
Wednesday interested in celtics Glen loovens,he's out of contract in the summer & Dave jones is keen to do a deal

(13)
(5)

If Wednesday win promotion Jones priority is retaining Baath on a full time deal. Has anyone heard the rumours re the top tier of the away end being opened for the ww game due to demand for tickets for Wednesday fans.

(11)
(0)

His priority should also be keeping Antonio and Llera.

(15)
(1)

Llera is our player

(15)
(1)

Oh I didn't know that. That's great cos I think he is way better than Jones.

(12)
(1)

Only signed Llera till end of season

(3)
(5)

Llera has been signed on a 18 month contract so he is with us until 2013

(9)
(0)

Should keep him as his distribution is quality and he is banging them in also.

(4)
(1)

Baath is coming back to Wolves. Wolves will sell Roger Johnson and Baath will be given his chance in the first team.

(3)
(5)

I smell pork to the supposed wolves fan ( I ashume) you can have Danny Baath back from which ever club hes on loan @ because we will resign Danny Batth from you (wolves)

(1)
(1)

In that case you will be getting a quality player back. been our best player this year. see you in the championship
